Aging-People Accessibility to Urban Garden: A Case Study in Turin

The study’s assessment of Turin’s urban gardens reveals that, while important social spaces, they often lack integrated facilities and targeted features to fully meet the needs of the growing elderly population, which suggests a need for improvements to support active aging. By using a customized checklist, the researchers identified several points of possible garden improvement that would better contribute to the welfare of elderly urban garden users.
