A Follow up on the Continuum Theory of Eco-Anxiety: Analysis of the Climate Change Anxiety Scale Using Item Response Theory among French Speaking Population

This study analyzes the Climate Change Anxiety Scale (CCAS) and suggests it primarily measures a single dimension of eco-anxiety, effectively identifying moderate to severe cases but potentially missing milder forms of climate-related worry. The research suggests that future improvements to the CCAS should focus on capturing the full spectrum of eco-anxiety.
