EXPLORING THE RESEARCH ON THE HAPPINESS OF MIDDLE-AGED WOMEN BY “GARDEN THERAPY” WITH SERVICE DESIGN AS THINKING
Summary
This study investigates whether horticultural therapy courses centered on service design can alleviate work-related stress and improve happiness in middle-aged women (40-60 years old) in Taiwan. The research methodology involved selecting students from two community colleges in northern Taiwan, dividing them into experimental and control groups, and observing differences in stress and happiness after a three-month horticultural therapy course.
The results showed that the experimental group experienced a significant reduction in perceived work pressure after the course compared to before, and also demonstrated lower work pressure values across various items on the work pressure scale compared to the control group, indicating that horticultural therapy can effectively adjust work pressure in this population.
