Comparison of Physiological and Psychological Relaxation Using Measurements of Heart Rate Variability, Prefrontal Cortex Activity, and Subjective Indexes after Completing Tasks with and without Foliage Plants

This study found that performing tasks with foliage plants significantly reduced stress by lowering sympathetic nervous activity and improving emotional states compared to tasks without plants. These findings highlight the relaxing effects of interacting with plants and suggest their potential use in stress management and therapeutic settings.
